A package here is a room and a thing to do with the day — a ferry, a boat, a bathhouse, a table, a meeting room. Nothing on this page is a gambling promotion and nothing on it can be claimed from a phone.
One of the six includes gaming credit for The Motukōkako Room, because it is a room in this hotel like the others. That credit is a fixed NZ$40, loaded at reception at check-in, not transferable, not exchangeable for cash, not carried over to another stay, and not available to anyone under twenty. If none of that appeals, take one of the other five.
Prices are the package price from, based on the lowest season, two people sharing a Bay Room unless stated. Everything is subject to availability and we will tell you honestly when a date is gone rather than sell you a worse version of it.

Two Nights in the Bay
Two nights in a Bay Room, breakfast for two in The Tapeka Room both mornings, and the 8.30am passenger ferry across to Russell and back whenever you feel like coming home. Fifteen minutes each way, and the last boat leaves the Russell wharf at 10pm.
- Two nights, Bay Room
- Breakfast for two, both mornings
- Russell ferry, return, both days
- Parking for the whole stay
Out to the Hole in the Rock
The same two nights with a seat on the 9am boat out to Motukōkako. Four and a half hours to Cape Brett and back, and the skipper takes the boat through the hole itself when the swell allows and says so plainly when it does not.
- Two nights, Bay Room
- Breakfast for two
- Islands cruise, one morning
- Packed lunch from the kitchen
Bathhouse and Bay
Two nights with The Haruru Bathhouse added: unlimited use of the salt pool and the two hot tubs on the north terrace, and one 50-minute treatment each, booked at a time that suits you rather than one that suits us.
- Two nights, Bay Room
- Breakfast for two
- Bathhouse access, both days
- One 50-minute treatment each
A Table at the Tapeka
One night, and dinner for two in The Tapeka Room — four courses from the set menu, which changes when the boats and the growers change it. Best taken midweek, and midweek is when we would suggest it.
- One night, Bay Room
- Four courses for two
- Breakfast the next morning
- Sunday to Thursday
Stay and Play
Two nights with breakfast and NZ$40 of gaming credit for The Motukōkako Room. The credit is loaded at reception when you check in. It is not transferable, it cannot be exchanged for cash, it does not roll over to a second visit, and it is not available to anyone under twenty.
- Two nights, Bay Room
- Breakfast for two
- NZ$40 gaming credit, The Motukōkako Room
- Photo ID at the door, 20 and over only
Day Delegate
Per person, per day, in The Urupukapuka Room or The Moturua Room. Room hire from eight until five, morning and afternoon tea, a working lunch in The Tapeka Room, and a projector we have never had to apologise for. Minimum ten people.
- Room hire, 8am to 5pm
- Morning and afternoon tea
- Working lunch in The Tapeka Room
- From ten people
- All packages are per package for two people sharing, except Day Delegate, which is per person per day with a minimum of ten.
- Rates shown are the lowest of the year. December to March and Waitangi weekend cost more, and we will quote the actual figure before you commit to anything.
- Boat trips, ferries and cellar-door visits are run by other people. If weather cancels one, we refund that part of the package in full — not as a credit.
- Gaming credit on the Stay and Play package is NZ$40, loaded at reception, usable only in The Motukōkako Room during opening hours, not transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and not issued to anyone who cannot show photo ID proving they are twenty or over.
- Cancellation is free until 48 hours before arrival on every package. Inside that we charge the first night.
- Packages cannot be combined with each other, and cannot be applied to a booking already made.
The full conditions are on the terms and conditions page, and the gaming ones are also set out on host responsibility.
