Wave Passage is at 31 Marine Parade, Queenstown 9300, Otago, New Zealand. The entrance is on Marine Parade with a covered drop-off for two cars and a step-free door. Reception is inside on the left and is staffed twenty-four hours.

Queenstown Airport takes direct flights from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It closes to scheduled traffic after dark, which is why late arrivals in winter are usually diverted to Christchurch and driven over. If that happens to you, tell the front desk; we hold the room and the kitchen leaves something out.
Campervans, bikes and charging
The car park under the building has a 2.1 m height limit, so a campervan does not fit. Two long bays on the Marine Parade side take vehicles up to 6.5 m and are booked with the room at NZ$34 a night. Certified self-contained sites are at Frankton, eight kilometres away.
Bicycles come inside. The storage room on the lower ground floor is racked, locked and shared with the ski storage, and there is a stand, a pump and a chain tool on the wall. The Queenstown Trail is reached from the gardens, four hundred metres south.
Two parking bays have a 22 kW charger on them at no extra cost beyond the parking rate. They are not reservable and are used on a first-come basis; the fast chargers in town are on Boundary Street and at Frankton.

Winter transport
- The Coronet Peak and Remarkables shuttles both stop outside the hotel between 7.40am and 9.20am from June to October.
- Chains are hired at two shops on Gorge Road and are required on the Remarkables road on some mornings.
- The porters clear the drop-off before six and grit the step to the door.
- Ski and board storage is racked and locked on the lower ground floor next to the drying room.
Arriving and leaving
- Check-in from 3pm, checkout 11am. Bags held at reception either side at no charge.
- Early arrival: the room is ready when it is ready, and the bath house is open from 7am if you want somewhere to be.
- Late arrival: reception is staffed all night; tell us if you expect to be in after midnight.
- Departure: the desk books airport cars until 8pm the evening before.
