Every rate below is for two guests and includes breakfast in Cecil & Walter, use of The Shotover Bath House, internet and ski storage. Rates are per room per night and include GST at 15%.
Queenstown runs three clear seasons and we price against them rather than against demand hour by hour. The low season is May, June and September. The shoulder covers March, April, October and November. The high season is December to February and July to August, which is ski season and the summer at once.

A third guest in a Jetty Room or a suite is NZ$68 a night including breakfast. Children under twelve share with a parent at no charge and eat breakfast free; over twelve they count as an extra guest.

Deposits, changes and cancellations
A one-night deposit holds a booking of up to three nights. Longer stays and any booking of five rooms or more take a 25% deposit. The balance is settled on departure by card, EFTPOS or cash.
Cancel more than seven days out and the deposit is refunded in full. Inside seven days it is held as credit for twelve months. Inside 48 hours the first night is charged. Group bookings of five rooms or more run on a separate schedule set out in the Booking & Stay Terms.
Rates quoted in an email hold for seven days. Rates on this page are the published sheet for 2026 and are reviewed each March and September.
Paying
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, EFTPOS and cash. Card surcharges are 2.2% on credit and nothing on debit. Accounts can be opened for companies booking regularly; ask reservations on +64 3 409 0628.
Longer stays
Seven nights or more takes 12% off the published rate in any season, and laundry is included from the fourth night in a Sunshine Bay Suite. Winter stays of a fortnight or more are quoted individually because they usually involve a locker, a car park and a drying schedule.
Groups and companies
Five rooms or more on the same nights is a group booking. Group rates are quoted rather than published, sit below the sheet above, and come with a written schedule for deposits, rooming lists and the date by which unsold rooms go back on sale. Conference organisers usually take the whole of level 2, which is twenty-two rooms.
Companies booking regularly can run an account settled monthly. Ask reservations and expect a credit check and two trade references, which is the same thing any hotel in this town will ask you for.
What moves a rate
Three things: the season, the length of the stay and the number of rooms. Nothing else. There is no dynamic pricing engine here, the rate you are quoted on a Monday is the rate on the Friday, and it does not go up because you looked at it twice.
Rates on this page are the published sheet for the calendar year 2026. School holidays, the Queenstown Winter Festival in June and the week either side of New Year sit at the high-season rate whatever month they fall in.
